It's all been building to this moment...
"It is inevitable when you bring two great sets of kids and two great Coaching Staff together that they will have to face off against each other in the much coveted RHP 3-on-3 Championships!" stated Rain Storm Hockey and Sport's Alliance's Vice President and General Manager Peter Nykilchuk. He went on to say "Unlike the Stanley Cup, which let's face it no one really cares about since the Leafs aren't in it, the anticipation is building to see who will end the season with "The Perfect Storm"!

In a clash of two strong and very competitive teams Rain Storm 1 came out on top taking down the Rebels in 3 straight games. The first game saw Rain Storm 1 overpower the Rebels in a very disciplined, but close game where Rain Storm 1 came out on top 3-0. In game two it came down to a shoot out with regulation ending in a 1-1 tie. Penalty trouble by Rain Storm 1 gave the Rebels 5 opportunities to even up the series, but Matthew Matheson stood tall and proud and robbed them of every opportunity. With only 2 opportunities for Rain Storm 1 to close out the game and steal the series the pressure was on, but it was not to be and the game went to sudden death. Alex 360 Cimino, who had the Rebels goalie's number (they're going out on a date next Friday)...psyched out the netminder and put in the winner through the 5-hole giving Rain Storm 1 the win and the series.

Game 3 saw a little less drive by Rain Storm 1 with the outcome of the semi-final already determined, but they managed to pull out another win again in a shoot-out where it only took one 5-hole goal by AC to take the third and final game.

That sets the stage for an all Rain Storm A-Division Championship game.

Coach and team founder Daniel J Rain stated, "it is at it should be and it will be as it was destined to be, a Rain Storm victory". When asked to clarify if he meant Rain Storm 1 or Rain Storm 2 he responded with "make it so #1". Coach Dean Jacklin of Rain Storm 2 was fortunately unavailable to respond to Coach Rain's confusing prediction, and it was unclear to this reporter if he was talking about the outcome of the upcoming championship game or his key objective as he headed into the men's washroom.

So it will be as Manager Nykilchuk had hoped, another championship banner for Rain Storm Hockey! Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming game as coverage continues in the quest for the 3-on-3 Championship Cup!

The game is scheduled for 7:40PM at RHP
